API & integrations

n8n, Make and Zapier

All three can talk to any API through their standard HTTP module, so createlink.link plugs into hundreds of services — a CRM, a form, a spreadsheet, a mailing platform — without a programmer.

Two requests do the job

The first creates personal codes for your list, the second downloads the result as a file. The key always goes into the same header.

Header for both requests
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY
1. Create the codes
POST https://createlink.link/api/v1/links/LINK_ID/codes
Content-Type: application/json

{"recipients": ["anna@example.com", "subscriber-1042"]}
2. Download the result (put job_id from the first answer)
GET https://createlink.link/api/v1/jobs/JOB_ID?format=csv&columns=Email:ref,LINK:url

Even simpler: a link with tag needs no automation at all — your platform appends the subscriber tag and the code is created on the first click.

n8n

  1. Add the node HTTP Request: Method POST, URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/links/LINK_ID/codes.
  2. Authentication → Generic Credential Type → Header Auth: Name Authorization, Value Bearer YOUR_KEY.
  3. Send Body → Body Content Type JSON → body: {"recipients": ["anna@example.com", "subscriber-1042"]}
  4. For lists over 1,000 recipients add a one-minute pause with the node Wait.
  5. Add a second node HTTP Request: Method GET, URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/jobs/{{ $json.job_id }}?format=csv, Options → Response → Response Format File.

Make

  1. Add the module HTTP → Make a request: URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/links/LINK_ID/codes, Method POST.
  2. Headers: Authorization = Bearer YOUR_KEY.
  3. Body type Raw, Content type JSON (application/json), Request content {"recipients": ["anna@example.com", "subscriber-1042"]}, Parse response Yes.
  4. For lists over 1,000 recipients add the module Sleep, then HTTP → Make a request: Method GET, URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/jobs/ + job_id from the first step + ?format=csv.

Zapier

  1. Add the action Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request: Method POST, URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/links/LINK_ID/codes.
  2. Data: {"recipients": ["anna@example.com", "subscriber-1042"]}; Headers: Authorization = Bearer YOUR_KEY, Content-Type = application/json.
  3. For lists over 1,000 recipients add Delay by Zapier, then Custom Request: Method GET, URL https://createlink.link/api/v1/jobs/ + job_id from the first step + .
